The problem on these shows -- especially panels but really everything in the TV format -- is that you always have limited time and if you're not able to convey a lot of information quickly, then it won't be heard. Those that feel they have an opposing perspective on a a given topic, and are on that show, often speak faster when presenting their perspective, since they are too often interrupted, and when they are, listeners are thrown off track, which I think is the intent of those that engage in the habit of interrupting others. They try to disempower what you saying. See it all the time there.
