Indeed he was one of our best-educated Presidents. The book "Reagan in his own hand" makes clear how well informed he was about the issues he would address as President.

He was witty, he had good convictions, but by the end of his 2nd presidential term he was a shell of a dementia riddled man.
Yes, his speech at the Berlin Wall is considered one of the worst, most confused speeches ever given by a President. (/sarc)
